We're a modern South African family creating stories that feel like home. From lifestyle campaigns and family adventures to comedy, parenting and culture, we partner with brands that value authentic storytelling and meaningful connection.
Meet the family behind the stories.
Born and bred in Johannesburg and now based in Cape Town, Immanuel Thapelo Makuse is a storyteller, actor, host and MC shaped by a uniquely South African life.
A Sepedi father, a revert Muslim and a husband married into a Cape Malay family, Immanuel naturally moves between different cultures, communities and lived experiences. Speaking Afrikaans, isiZulu and English allows him to connect with audiences across backgrounds, whether he is on stage, in front of the camera or bringing a brand campaign to life.
His strength lies in reading a room, finding the humour in everyday life and making people feel like they are part of the story. He does not simply deliver a message. He translates it into something warm, relatable and memorable.
As the host of Halala 2 Halaal, Immanuel combines humour, cultural awareness and genuine human connection to create moments that audiences remember.
Hola Fam,
As a young boy, I dreamed of becoming an actor. That dream still lives in me today.
Every stage, every campaign and every story is an opportunity to do what I love most: connect with people.
I'd be honoured to tell your brand's story because great storytelling creates more than content, it creates an experience.
Raeesah's content journey started 13 years ago as a Grade 9 girl with a camera, big dreams and absolutely no idea where it would all lead.
At just 17, she landed her first paid campaign with Edgars and hasn't stopped telling stories since. Even while working as a flight attendant, she was creating content from airports, hotel rooms and every layover in between, proving that if there's a story to tell, she'll find a way to tell it.
Today, she's a wife, mama of two, author of Kaia's Superpower and still the same girl chasing the dreams she wrote down all those years ago. (yes, I have a list)
As a Cape Malay woman married to a Sepedi man, she shares the beauty, humour and chaos of blending cultures while raising two little humans. She's the girl who somehow turns a Get Ready With Me into a life lesson.
Because she is that deep.
Hey Mak Fam, 🤍
For years, I created content. But it's only in recent years that I've been brave enough to share the real and raw parts of who I am.
I've learned that when you share your why, you build trust, connection and influence. I'm so grateful for the community we've built, and I never take it for granted that so many of you see a friend in me.
My dad always used to say,
"Be great, because you never know who's watching."
And I hope he is xx
Family Storytellers • Lifestyle Creators • Proudly South African
Home is where the Makuses are.
The Makuse Family is built on one simple belief: the best stories happen at home.
Together, Immanuel, Raeesah, Kaia Honey and Mūsā Thapelo invite their community into the beautifully ordinary moments of family life—from raising two toddlers and navigating cultures to road trips, Sunday lunches and everything in between.
As a Cape Malay and Sepedi family, they celebrate the beauty of modern South Africa through laughter, love and authentic storytelling, creating content that feels less like advertising and more like being part of the family.
Because when you work with The Makuse Family, you're not just booking creators.
You're becoming part of our story.
